Manuel Rocha
Composer and sound artist, Rocha is one of the leading figures in the Mexican electroacoustic and sound-art scene. He studied in Mexico, the U.S. and France and has been commissioned among others by the IMEB in Bourges, the Arditti Quartet, the pianist Aki Takahashi and the Sydney Biennial. Awards include the Luigi Russolo in Italy, Bourges in France and Ars Electronica in Austria. He founded Mexico’s Sound Art Festival and is active constantly as a researcher and curator.
