Luis Jure is an Uruguayan composer and researcher, born in Montevideo in 1960. He studied with noted Uruguayan composer Héctor Tosar, and at the School of Music of the University in Uruguay (EUM), earning there his degree in Composition. Since 1988 he has been teaching several subjects at EUM, where he was one of the founders of the electronic music studio (eMe), and its director since 2004.
