Archive Opening

Ronald M. Schernikau (1960–1991), author, communist and gay, was an expert on and trenchant critic of post-war German realities. His key works include Kleinstadtnovelle, Die Tage in L. and Legende. Since 2015, Schernikau’s literary estate has been part of the Akademie der Künste Archive and is now opened to the public. This evening of readings of his works and letters, music and original recordings is dedicated to his memory.
