Academy Discussions

Which are Europe’s real borders – and who secures them? Do Greece, Italy, Spain and France have to protect their borders themselves or is there a European approach? Austria, Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia have their own answers to refugees seeking asylum, even to the extent of building walls. What does Brussels say in response? Are there "European borders"? The Brexit as well as Germany’s "arrangement" with Turkey (whose democracy is meanwhile called into question by the attempted putsch and subsequent state of emergence) have opened up other areas of conflict.
