7th Academy Discussion Wounded Europe II:
The Internal Wounds

Academy Discussions

The Treaties of Rome signed in 1957 were intended to guarantee freedom and peace in Europe. Today, populist movements strive to withdraw into national isolation, xenophobia is growing and terrorism threatens people and states. What would forms of integration look like that strengthen tolerance – and sustain a vision of Europe united in its diversity? Jeanine Meerapfel is joined by Agnieszka Holland, Enrique Sobejano, Cécile Wajsbrot and Nikolas Zirganos to discuss different perspectives from France, Germany, Greece, Poland and Spain.
