Marino Pliakas
Marino Pliakas (*1964 in Trogen, Switzerland) is a trained guitarist (classical guitar) and bassist. He lectures in music and performance at Zurich University of Teacher Education (PH Zürich). Together with Michael Wertmüller, he has been part of Brötzmann's Full Blast ensemble since 2006; their latest album, risk, was released in 2016. At the Donaueschingen Festival 2016, together with Beat Furrer’s Klangforum Wien ensemble for contemporary music, Pliakas' band Steamboat Switzerland recorded Bernhard Gander's Cold Cadaver with Thirteen Scary Scars; the album was released last year.
