Valued Art of Verse Weltklang – Night of Poetry

Opening Event

Under the title "Valued Art of Verse", Haus für Poesie invites international poets to the 19th poesiefestival berlin, to examine values through the art of verse and bring them to the stage as poetry. One focal point is to present concrete, visual and sound poetry, to which Berlin galleries and collections will present their treasures. In addition, for the first time ever, a "Climate Summit of Poetry" will take place, as well as the "Poetry Market", which has been running for many years, with readings and publishers' stands. Poet Elke Erb will give this year's Berlin Poetry Lecture with the title "A Poem Is What It Does". The Festival, presented in cooperation with the Akademie der Künste, will open with "Weltklang – Night of Poetry", the multilingual panorama of international poetry.
