Claus Weidensdorfer

Inspired by his teachers Hans Theo Richter and Max Schwimmer, the draughtsman and graphic artist Claus Weidensdorfer has been developing his own language of drawing and form since the 1950s. The artist is a sensitive observer and draughtsman of (urban) landscapes, portraits, as well as dramatic, bizarre-grotesque and erotic sceneries. The human being in his environment and social interaction interest him as much as subjects drawn from art history, music, and current affairs. Irony and humour have remained his faithful companions throughout his career.
