Robert Kahn The Sprudeling Fountain

Concert and Discussion

The Akademie archives commemorate the composer Robert Kahn (1865–1951), who was expelled from the Akademie in 1934, with this concert and panel discussion. With his departure from Berlin and subsequent emigration to England, he started working on his Tagebuch in Tönen, which today is considered to be the largest single collection of piano pieces in music history. In addition to excerpts from this collection, songs and chamber music by Kahn will be performed.

With Danny Driver on piano, as well as musicians from the Royal College of Music, London.
