Reports from Elsewhere:
Members’ Talks

Talks

In three rounds of talks, artists from the six sections of the Akademie der Künste talk about their works and their experiences “elsewhere”, exchanging views with the other participants. “Elsewhere” can be a faraway country, but it can also be an environment society neglects or a fight for one’s own work. It can reflect public interests, but also personal experiences. In the context of the spring members’ meeting, the Akademie on Hanseatenweg will host talks between the members Carola Bauckholt, Ulrike Grossarth, Barrie Kosky, Katja Lange-Müller, Ulrich Peltzer, Matthias Sauerbruch, Volker Schlöndorff, Andres Veiel and Angela Winkler. Hans Gerhard Hannesen will moderate successive discussion groups.

In addition: Artists from all sections of the Akademie introduce themselves and their works in video interviews produced by Kathrin Röggla, and an audiovisual memento documents central aspects of “Uncertain States”, the main focus of the Akademie’s programme last fall. A tour will be conducted in the Otto Bartning exhibition. Peter Reil’s Tango-Trio “Animales Alemanes” plays in the lobby.
