John Heartfield’s Berlin address book (1950–1968) attests to his extensive private and professional network. It reveals a wide range of relationships: friends he knew in exile, fellow artists in the East and West, political contacts and even his veterinarian. Christine Fischer-Defoy and Michael Krejsa managed to identify the stories behind the people. They talk about their research and present the new publication. Kirsten Block and Christian Steyer read from letters, accompanied by a sound collage by Christian Kesten.
