Ingo Schulze: Tasso im Irrenhaus

Book Release

Ingo Schulze has often demonstrated his mastery of the art of storytelling. His new narratives are united by one thing: engagement with art. Whether in conversation with dissident author B. C. about Reinhard Mucha’s installation Das Deutschlandgerät, in a dispute with a Bernese “Doctor Know-it-all” in front of Delacroix’s Tasso im Irrenhaus or whether during the visit of painter Johannes Grützke in the hospice, who asks the writer Schulze for a last description of one of his paintings – rarely has art been reflected on so lightly, artfully and amusingly at the same time.
