Inauguration of the Festival

Festive inauguration of KONTAKTE '17. Inauguration of the exhibition Das imaginäre Studio, a display case presentation with materials from the Hermann Scherchen Archive and the sound installations in the presence of the artists. Opening with José Manuel Berenguer, Johanna Diehl, Christina Kubisch, Hans Peter Kuhn, Bernhard Leitner, Martin Riches, and Society for Nontrivial Pursuits, amongst others. Welcoming address: Gregorio García Karman, Director of the Studio for Electroacoustic Music, Akademie der Künste.

Sound installations and public space interventions

With live-coding performances by the Society for Nontrivial Pursuits, Utopia / Republic Revisited, and Camilla Vatne Barratt-Due and Alexandra Cárdenas, amongst others. The performances include the installations CodeChoir 2.0 and Respire Tune as instruments.
