Every two years, EMOP Berlin – European Month of Photography presents the entire spectrum of historical and contemporary photography in a number of exhibition projects selected by an expert jury. Even in times of strict hygiene and distancing rules, the 9th edition of EMOP Berlin now presents, from 1 to 31 October, over 100 exhibitions at different locations throughout the city, featuring over 500 photographers: www.emop-berlin.eu

With its current joint exhibition “CONTINENT – In Search of Europe” (2 Oct. 2020 – 10 Jan. 2021), the members of OSTKREUZ – Agentur der Fotografen examine the present state of Europe. In 22 positions, the photographers focus on various aspects of coexistence in Europe – personal, social and political phenomena. With topics such as identity, security, renationalisation, migration and integration, democracy and freedom of opinion, they always find an approach to complex content through their images of people and their surroundings. The diverse critical perspectives are always formulated from a very personal standpoint, inviting the viewer to reflect on the future of Europe.
