Alfred Döblin Prize 2021
The Alfred Döblin Prize, endowed with €15,000 by Günter Grass, is awarded for a longer prose manuscript in progress. The jury consists of Knut Elstermann, Sieglinde Geisel and Marie Schmidt. The following are nominated for the competition readings: Daniela Dröscher, Ursula Fricker, Valeria Gordeev, Michael Kleeberg, Deniz Utlu and Senthuran Varatharajah. This year, the award ceremony will take place immediately after the competition. In cooperation with the LCB, sponsored by the S. Fischer Foundation.
The readings will each take roughly 15 minutes and the discussions about 20 minutes.
