What drives us: Energy and energeia between politics and poetics

Literature Days

The term energy is a high-frequency word in our time and opens up a broad array of associations and discourses in science, politics and culture. It gives rise to literary poetics and manifests itself as an evidential experience in the performative power of the arts. For three consecutive days, the Akademie der Künste will address the pressing questions raised by the term. The programme will be framed by artistic and discursive contributions from all sections of the Akademie der Künste, film screenings, an exhibition, video installations, presentations from the archive, guided tours of the Architectural Archives, a presentation by KUNSTWELTEN,

On the second day, a symposium will address questions in the areas of “Energy, Poetics and Ecology” and “Energy and Creative Power” with participants from the Akademie der Künste, academia, politics, and business. The “Open Space: Café Climate” by the European Alliance of Academies invites participants to join the discussion on the topics of climate, energy, democracy and art.
