Born in Mexico City, he studied jazz and composition in Mexico’s Escuela Superior de Música. His main interest lies in sound experimentation and the development of alternative ways of approaching the deployment and perception of contemporary music. A fundamental focus of his creative work is the interaction—flow and/or obstruction of information—between the composer, the code (or medium), the performer, and the audience. He has written music for different soloists, has been commissioned by festivals such as Volta and WhiteNoise.Fest and was awarded the first prize in the Forward competition organized by Mutek Mexico.
