Health and Safety Regulations

Please observe all access restrictions currently in place for Akademie buildings.

Following Berlin-wide rules, visiting our exhibitions and events is possible:

  • for vaccinated and recovered persons with a same-day negative test result
  • for boostered persons

For individual events, a same-day negative test may also be required for boostered persons. This will be announced directly in the programme entry if necessary.

You are required to wear a FFP2 mask throughout the entire Akademie building.
Please maintain a distance of at least 1.5 metres from other people.

When visiting our exhibitions:

Small bags (no larger than A4) are permitted in the exhibition halls.

Access only with a time slot ticket. We recommend advance booking at adk.de/tickets.

When attending our events:

For individual events, a same-day negative test may also be required for boostered persons. This will be announced directly in the programme entry if necessary.

The Akademie der Künste is obliged to document your attendance. Personal data for contact tracing can be registered in writing, by booking an online ticket or via the Corona warning app.

Because our coat check services are only available to a limited capacity and are unsupervised, we ask that you refrain from bringing large bags with you.

We recommend purchasing online tickets in advance: www.adk.de/tickets. Seating is limited in the rooms and spaces used for special events.

When visiting the Brecht-Weigel Museum and the Anna Seghers Museum:

The museums can only be visited as part of a guided tour, whereby the number of people is limited to smaller groups in order to maintain the minimum distance – in accordance with the current Hygiene Framework Concept of the Senate Department for Culture. For school classes, the current special conditions apply according to the Hygiene Framework Concept of the Senate Department for Culture.

The presentation of personalised proof of vaccination or recovery plus booster or same-day negative test result is a prerequisite for visiting the museums. Pupils are exempt if it can be proven that they are regularly tested in school.

You are required to wear a FFP2 mask.

Visitor data is registered to trace contacts. There is the option of using a tracing app for this purpose.

In the Reading Room:

You are required to wear a FFP2 mask throughout the entire Akademie building.

Please maintain a distance of at least 1.5 metres from other people.

The presentation of personalised proof of vaccination or recovery plus booster or same-day negative test result is a prerequisite for visiting the Archives.

When entering the areas of the Archives, hands must be sufficiently disinfected. Disinfectant dispensers are available for this purpose at the entrances.
