Beata Hock

Beata Hock (born in Nyíregyháza, Hungary) 1998-2002, research assistant at the Artpool Art Research Centre, Budapest. Since 2011, senior researcher at the Leibnitz Institute for Eastern European History and Culture, Leipzig (GWZO). Her areas of research and teaching include East-Central European art history, feminist cultural theory and the cultural dimensions of the global Cold War. Publications include: Gendered Creative Options and Social Voices (Stuttgart, 2013); Doing culture under state-socialism (Comparative Volume 2014/4); curator, among others things, of "Left Performance Histories" (NGbK Berlin 2018).
