David Crowley

David Crowley is professor at the National College of Art & Design, Dublin. His publications include: Warsaw (2003); Style and Socialism: Modernity and Material Culture in Post-War Eastern Europe (2000); Socialist Spaces. Sites of Everyday Life in the Eastern Bloc (2003); Pleasures in Socialism: Leisure and Luxury in the Eastern Bloc (2010). Curator of e.g. Cold War Modern (Victoria and Albert Museum, London, 2008). Together with Daniel Muzyczuk, he curated Notes from the underground. Alternative Art and Music in Eastern Europe 1968 – 1994 for Muzeum Sztuki, Łódź in 2016. In 2018 the adaptation of this exhibition was prepared with Angela Lammert for Akademie der Künste, Berlin.
