Floros Floridis

Floros Floridis (*1952 in Thessaloniki, Greece) is a jazz musician and clarinettist. Over the course of his musical career since the 1970s, the trained physicist has played with the international greats of the free jazz scene at concerts and festivals in Europe and the US. Floridis founded the Festival of Jazz and Improvised Music in Thessaloniki and directed it for nine years. As a composer, he has developed music for short and documentary films, theatre and dance. In 2016, Floridis premiered the artistic dialogue Think about... with dancer and choreographer Koffi Kôkô at the Akademie der Künste in Berlin.
