Alena Ságlová-Veit (born 1968 in Prague) studied translation and interpreting (Russian, German) at the philosophy department of the Karls-University Prague. Since 1992 she is working as a freelance conference interpreter and literary translator (Vladimir Nabokov, Peter Handke, Christoph Ransmayr into Czech).
