Concert
The oft-performed classic by Luigi Nono, La Fabbrica Illuminata, in the version with the loudspeaker orchestra, is juxtaposed with two seldom heard works: Aion by Nicolaus A. Huber and WGBH-TV by John Cage. While Cage observes three composers at work and interprets the sounds that are produced as music, Akademie member Huber uses specific everyday sounds, as well as diverse smells from garbage, oranges, violets, roses, incense, etc., to shape the pool of materials for “chains of archetypes” with the strongest possible irritating effects.
