EM4 │Berlin Studios for Electroacoustic Music
In its fourth edition, the EM4 series is showcasing the Electronic Music Studio at the Technische Universität Berlin. In 2000, with the support of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), TU Berlin’s Electronic Music Studio established the Edgard Varèse Guest Professorship. Since then, this position has been held by leading artists and scholars in computer music and media art. Tonight’s programme, including works by guest professors Jonty Harrison, Hans Tutschku, Barry Truax, Pierre Alexandre Tremblay and Gottfried Michael Koenig, does full justice to this broad range of technologies and sound aesthetics.
Jonty Harrison: Streams (16’12’’)
Hans Tutschku: Rojo (15’00’’)
Pierre Alexandre Tremblay: nureinwortgenügtnicht1 (15’17’’)
Gottfried Michael Koenig: Polychromie (10’17’’)
