In the series “On the Duty and the Power of Architecture” with members of the Architecture Section Volkwin Marg gives a lecture. The Hamburg architect co-founded gmp with Meinhard von Gerkan in 1965, which developed into one of Germany’s most successful, globally active architectural offices. Their list of works includes numerous transportation facilities, sports and cultural buildings, as well as residential and office buildings. Architectural historian Werner Durth talks with Marg about changes in building culture and architecture’s responsibilities.
