Rolf Haufs‘ (1935-2013) only novel is being published for the first time, 60 years after it was written.

The West Berlin exclave of Steinstücken posed a security challenge at the time because the Berlin city border became a zonal border. Georg, the author‘s alter ego, flees from the Rhineland to this very place in the early 1960s, bringing with it curious, absurd and mysterious experiences.
