The Studio for Electroacoustic Music at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin (STEAM) is presenting the sixth concert in the EM4 series. Luigi Nono’s La lontananza nostalgica utopica futura (1988), scored for solo violin moving between stands around the auditorium and 8-track tape, views the human being as a permanent seeker. On the wall of a monastery in Toledo, Nono discovered the inscription "Caminante, no hay caminos, hay que caminar" (Wanderer, there are no paths, there is only walking), which he took as the motto of his final years.
