Wo kommen wir hin First Love – Musical Reading Feast on Beckett’s 113th Birthday
Each year on Samuel Beckett’s birthday, translator, language artist and director Leopold von Verschuer reads Beckett’s early short story First Love. Cellist, composer and happenist Bo Wiget rumbles, bellows and plays music in accompaniment. Sometimes they cook an Irish stew for themselves and their listeners. Or sometimes they fast. First Love is a grotesque tragicomic love story, in which a father-fixated, homeless loner unwilling to love tells of his “first love” for a prostitute.
This evening is part of "Wo kommen wir hin".
