DEMO:POLIS – Opening Symposium II

Symposium

Two dimensions of public space will be discussed: Art interventions in public space and their effects on free speech as well as bottom-up initiatives from Talca, Puerto Rico, Dublin and Berlin. What is public space today? What should it be? Which allies should we seek to successfully lay claim to the publicness of public space? What losses are suffered by the public due to privatization and surveillance of both real and virtual public spaces?

This event is part of the programme of the exhibtion "DEMO:POLIS - The Right to Public Space".
