Corinne Wasmuht

Corinne Wasmuht creates spatial images in which representational and abstract pictorial elements and microstructures are superimposed, delimited or fused together in fissured colour explosions. The new large formats in particular are counter-images to the reality of our lives and oscillate between speed and radical slowdown in the painting process. The impetus for her works is provided by an extensive archive of images and a constant input from everyday life, science, film, television, the World Wide Web, architecture and urban life.
