Werner Düttmann Fellowship
The transdisciplinary Werner Düttmann Fellowship is a cross-sectional residency and working fellowship in Berlin. Made possible in 2017 by the family of Werner Düttmann in honour of the architect of the Academy’s building on Hanseatenweg and long-standing President of the Akademie der Künste (1971–1983), it has been awarded annually since 2018 to promote international young art talent in all fields.
A unique feature of this fellowship is that alumni of the JUNGE AKADEMIE can propose candidates. The selection is made by a jury consisting of members and staff of the JUNGE AKADEMIE and the fellowship holder from the previous year.
