Angela Winkler: Mein blaues Zimmer. Autobiographische Skizzen

Book Presentation and Discussion

She has been Grüber's Iphigenia, Zadek's Hamlet, Wilson's Lulu and, as Katharina Blum, one of the most memorable faces of New German Cinema. To this day, Angela Winkler is internationally in front of cameras and on stage all over Europe – in places she called and still calls home: Along with her husband and their four children have brought isolated, almost ruined houses back to life, in Auvergne, Brittany, Italy and on an island in the Elbe. The simultaneous nature of numerous lives and of art itself is the subject of Angela Winkler's book of memoirs, written together with Brigitte Landes, which is being introduced by the actress, a member of the Akademie der Künste, in a reading and in conversation with Hermann Beil and Brigitte Landes. And, as music is a part of her life, too, some of her favourite songs will be heard, accompanied on the piano by Adam Benzwi.
